With this frame you can replace the optical drive (CD/DVD/Blu-ray) by a hard disk. Provide the frame with the original drive aperture and the exchange remains externally unremarkable. The frame corresponds to a shaft height of 12.7 mm and is designed for 2.5" SATA SSDs and HDDs.
